The Verified Metrics story
Private markets still run on unverified numbers
Management decks summarize the ledger. Marks go stale between board meetings. Models get reviewed by reading the outputs, not the formulas. Everyone in the industry knows this, and everyone has learned to live with it, because checking everything used to take more people than any fund could spare.
We started Verified Metrics because that stopped being true. Software can now collect financials straight from ERPs and banks, recompute entire models cell by cell, and keep portfolio data live between quarters. What it can't do is exercise judgment, defend a mark to an auditor, or tell you which finding changes the deal. So we built a firm that does both: practitioners who have sat on the buy side, working on infrastructure we engineered ourselves.
Today PE, growth equity, and private credit firms use Verified Metrics to gather data, underwrite deals, mark portfolios, and produce LP reports for more than $30 billion of assets annually.

How we work
The principles that govern how we scope engagements, staff them, and stand behind the findings.
Verified means verified.
We don't pass along a number we haven't tied to source. If it's in our report, it reconciles to a ledger, a bank statement, or a stated assumption you can challenge.
Independent, structurally.
No audit relationships to protect, no success fees on deals closing. We're paid for accurate findings, which is the only way findings stay accurate.
Senior work only.
The person on the kickoff call writes the report. Nothing is handed down to a pool and reassembled with a logo on it.
Deadlines are the job.
Audit fieldwork, IC dates, closings: this industry runs on dates that don't move. We scope to the date and staff to hit it.
Plain terms.
Findings ranked by what they're worth, written so a partner can act on them. No hedging, no 400-item appendix pretending to be analysis.
Clients keep the keys.
Models, data, and process documentation belong to you. We'd rather earn next year's engagement than make this year's impossible to leave.
The people who do the work
Verified Metrics was founded by people who have sat on the buy side, run credit desks, and built the infrastructure themselves. The person on the kickoff call is the person who does the work.
